Martha’s Vineyard brings back a classic July 4th party
Martha’s Vineyard stages fireworks over Edgartown Harbor as a fitting climax to a full day of small-town American fun to celebrate Independence Day. The fireworks should start at dusk, at about 9:00 p.m. Admission is free. The town of Edgartown organized and paid for the fireworks.
The fireworks are staged on a barge just outside Edgartown Harbor. I assume any place along the harbor is excellent for viewing them. Lighthouse Beach should be a great spot to watch and photograph the show.
MV celebrates the fourth with an afternoon and night full of all-American events in Edgartown. The day begins in the late afternoon with a barbecue and a parade. The barbecue starts at 4:00 and runs until 8:00 p.m. at the Old Whaling Church. The parade begins at 5:00 p.m.
